Hi, I’m Laura!

I’m Laura (she/they), a neurodivergent therapist in San Jose, CA who loves helping folks navigate the complexity of being human.

Therapy works best when you feel comfortable with your therapist. I’m super present with my clients and place value on being authentic and building trust.

The inner world has fascinated me for a long time. Having done (and continuing to do) my own healing means I come to this work with a deep well and a sense of what it’s like to be on the other side of the process. I also study and train continuously, not because I have to, but because I’m endlessly curious and love learning. My passion is in understanding neurodivergence, specifically complex trauma, autism, ADHD, giftedness and PDA. I really respect the work that we do together.

Before becoming a therapist, I was working as an artist. Creativity can be such a bridge to understanding ourselves, each other, and the world. While we can hold a lot, I also believe healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. Play is healing, too. My inner child LOVES silly art, creative nonsense, nature, and dad jokes. Visiting the Jim Henson exhibit in SF was a fun highlight.

Outside of work, I can often be found walking Louie with a camera or book in my hand. I have pancakes every Sunday, I read Tarot, and my favorite landscape is somewhere under the trees. Particularly in the fall. With a jacket on. And overcast.

Hi, I’m Louie!

I come to the office most days and I’m really chill—especially for a husky! I like sniffing, curling up for a nap (sometimes at your feet), and having some dreams. I might squeak my highland cow toy when you first come in.

My favorite things are meeting other dogs, having my pack together in one place, going for walks, and treats!!
